Here are some other pointers on how to navigate and use the Forum :

Each time that you come on the Forum, your presence is already recognized, so you do not have to register or login everytime. However, should you happen to share your computer with someone else, you might want to consider signing off after your session on it, until your next visit. To do so :

On the upper right-side corner, next to your nickname, are two(2) boxes marked ''Profil'' (''Profile'') and ''Déconnecter''(''To disconnect''). Click on that last one. You'll still be able to navigate accross the Forum, from one topic to the next; you just won't be able to post or retrieve private messages from other forum members.

To register back to the Forum, simply click on ''S'identifier'' (''Identifie one's self'').
You will be prompted to type in your Pseudo and your password. If you've forgotten, click on ''Mot de passe perdu ?'' (''Lost password ?''). To ''Valider'' (''Validate''; go ahead), well go ahead and please do so !

While we're at it, here's how to include Smiley's in your messages. To put one before an introductory phrase or sentence (Space located next to your name or next to a topic), click on a circle next to the smiley in order to mark it. To put one in anywhere in your message, simply click on it while your cursor is located on the desired spot where you would like to put it.

If you would like to quote a fellow member whom you think made an interesting statement (for example), there are a few ways of doing so.

A) You may quote the fellow member's message in it's entirety. To do that, go back to that member's message, and on it's right side vertical bar, click on the image of a sheet of paper with a red arrow standing partly on it and next to it (when you hover your mouse's pointer over it, it says ''Citer le message'', which means ''To quote the message'').

Another option is to write, for example, ''X (Member's nickname) said : '', and then make use one of the words located between the space for the introductory phrase or sentence and the message your are writing. This word is ''citation'', and it will make appear quotations buoys. Simply spread them a little, allowing your cursor to be halfway between them, then highlight the statement, copy and paste. Voilà !

After you've finished composing your message, to post it, click on - you guessed it - ''Valider'' .

If you have an Idea for a new subject and would like to start a new thread, click on ''Forum in english'', where next you will be able to establish it alongside others already present there. Put in your introductory phrase or sentence, write
in your message, and then click on ''Ajouter le topic'' (''Add topic'', add new subject).

''Faîtes un don'' means ''To make a donation''. So if you'd like to, your always welcome to do so...

It's easy. You have just to insert the following mark in your profil (menu "Profil" on the top of this page), then fill the textarea named "Signature :"):

Note that this action will take effect only for the future messages you will post on the forum.

The past messages don't display the picture...

Hi all !

Ok, now we're going to take a look at how to edit messages and send private ones to fellow members.

Sending private messages is sort of like chatting, except that in this case, I must admit, it is not as efficient (there is some lag in response time).

Take note of the nickname of the fellow member you would like to reach, click on ''Messagerie'' (''mailing''), then type it in exactly in the box after ''Pseudo :''. Then, compose your message and click on - what else ? - ''Valider''.

Now, I shall translate other terms from French to English, starting with the ones you see right above, in blue :

''gras'' (Meaning ''large'' characters),
''italique'' (''Italic'')
''souligné'' (''underlined'')
''barré'' (''crossed'')
''taille'' (''size'')
''couleur'' (''color'')
''lien rapide'' (''rapid'' or fast ''Link'')
''lien complet'' (''complete'' or entire ''link'')
''fixe'' (meaning steadily attached or ''fixed'' on)
''aide'' (''help'')
''en voir plus'' (''to see more'')

On the vertical bar on the right side, the symbols mean :

Yellow star : ''Noter ce message comme favori'' (''Note this message as a favorite'')

Smaller red star : ''Marquer les messages de ce topic comme non lus à partir de ce point'' (''Mark all the messages from this thread as unread from this point on'')

Head, paper and question mark depicted : ''Voir le profil de l'auteur'' (''See author's profile''). Note : You may also click on their ''pseudo'' i.e. nickname in blue.

Paper and pencil : ''Éditer le message'' (''Edit message''). This function can be used if you wish to correct your message (example : an oversight) once it has already been sent.

Once you have composed the revised version of your message, simply post it, and it will be displayed in stead of the older version, with the following advisement : ''Message modifié le (date) à (time) par (name)'', indicating that the message has been modified.

The Forum (like, for that matter, are all forums and blogs on the Internet) is a public area of debate. Please be advised to carefully select what you choose to reveal about yourself   . If you wish to correspond with any member in particular, doing so by the ''messagerie'' is recommended, as well as by email via the Forum.

If the member(s) you would like to write to has not volunteered their email address or any other personnal page, there is another way to send them a message.

Here's how to do it via the Forum :

1) First step : Display their profile

2) Secondly, go to the area ''Envoi d'un message à l'adresse mail de (intented person's ''Pseudo'') (''Sending of a message to X 's email address'').

3) Thirdly, fill the spaces ''Sujet'' (''Subject'') and ''Message'' (Make sure you don't forget to fill ''Sujet'' also, or you may have to start all over from scratch)

4) Click on ''Valider''

The person at the other end will receive your email, with an advisement that it was sent by means of the ''ecologielibidinale'' Forum.
